About ADEX

ADEX is a marketplace that helps customers discover and connect with independent local professionals offering services through the platform.

These Terms of Use govern your use of the ADEX website, marketplace, account features and related services.

2

Your ADEX account

You are responsible for providing accurate information when creating and using your ADEX account and for keeping your account credentials secure.

You must not use another person's account without permission or provide misleading information about your identity or business.

3

The ADEX marketplace

ADEX provides technology that enables customers and independent service providers to discover one another, communicate and manage service bookings.

Providers are responsible for the services they advertise and perform, including the accuracy of their service information, pricing, qualifications and availability.

4

Bookings and service requests

A customer may submit a service request through ADEX. A request is not confirmed until the provider accepts it.

Booking information, including service details, location and preferred date, should be reviewed carefully before confirmation.

5

Payments

Where payment functionality is available, payments are processed through the ADEX payment journey and the applicable payment provider.

Customers and providers should not exchange card details, passwords or payment security credentials directly with one another.

6

Cancellations and refunds

Customers may cancel without a customer cancellation charge more than 24 hours before the scheduled service start time.

For cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled service start, a cancellation charge of up to 25% of the booked service value may apply.

If the provider cancels a confirmed booking or does not attend, the customer will not be charged a customer cancellation fee and amounts collected for that cancelled service may be eligible for refund in accordance with the applicable payment process.

Nothing in these terms limits rights available under applicable consumer law.

7

Job verification

ADEX may use QR codes, booking-specific codes and other verification mechanisms to record when a service begins and when completion steps take place.

Users must only complete a verification step when the event being verified has actually occurred.

8

Ratings and reviews

Reviews should reflect genuine experiences with services arranged through ADEX.

Users must not submit misleading reviews, manipulate ratings or attempt to improperly influence customer feedback.

9

Acceptable use

You must not use ADEX for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or misleading activity, interfere with the operation of the platform, misuse another person's information or attempt to circumvent marketplace safeguards.

10

Account restriction or suspension

ADEX may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate suspected misuse, comply with legal obligations or maintain the integrity and security of the marketplace.

11

Liability and consumer rights

11.1 ADEX as a marketplace

ADEX Home Ltd operates an online marketplace connecting customers with independent third-party service providers. Unless expressly stated otherwise, ADEX does not directly perform the services advertised on its platform.

Independent service providers are not employees of ADEX. ADEX does not supervise or control the day-to-day performance of services provided by independent providers.

11.2 Responsibility of independent providers

Independent providers are responsible for the services they advertise and perform, including their quality, safety, suitability, professional standards and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Providers are responsible for their own acts and omissions, including damage to property, personal injury, delays, cancellations and failure to deliver agreed services, to the extent provided by applicable law.

11.3 Limitations of ADEX liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ADEX is not responsible for losses, damages, unsatisfactory workmanship, service delays, cancellations or disputes arising solely from the acts or omissions of independent providers.

ADEX does not guarantee the availability, quality, suitability or outcome of services offered by independent providers.

Verification badges, identity checks, background checks, ratings and reviews are intended to support marketplace transparency and trust. They do not constitute a guarantee of a provider's future conduct, competence or service performance.

11.4 Disputes between customers and providers

Customers and independent providers are primarily responsible for resolving disputes relating to the performance, quality or completion of services.

ADEX may assist with communication or dispute resolution where appropriate. Such assistance does not, by itself, mean that ADEX accepts responsibility for the underlying service.

11.5 Consumer rights and legal obligations

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms affects customers' statutory rights under applicable UK consumer protection law. ADEX remains responsible for its own legal and contractual obligations.

12

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when ADEX services, legal requirements or marketplace features change. The latest version will be published here with its updated date.
