Your questions, answered

How do ADEX fees work?

Your agreed quote includes ADEX’s service fee and applicable service VAT. ADEX receives a commission from the provider to help operate the marketplace, manage bookings and process payments. No additional ADEX booking fee is added at checkout.

When is payment collected and released?

Payment is collected when the customer books. The provider's payment is released after both parties confirm the service is complete. ADEX initiates a transfer to the provider's connected Stripe account; arrival in their bank account takes additional processing time. This is not simply a temporary authorisation on the customer's card.

What does the Verified badge mean?

The badge relates to ADEX's review of a submitted Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate and the applicant details in that submission. ADEX encourages this optional review, but providers can offer services without the badge. The badge requires a new check every 12 months from the certificate issue date. It does not guarantee safety or service quality, or confirm that every member of a company's team has been checked.

Where do customer reviews come from?

Customers can leave a review after their ADEX booking is completed. Each completed booking can be reviewed once. Explore reviews and provider profiles before requesting a quote. After your service, leave a review to help other customers choose the right provider.

What if I cannot scan the QR code?

Use the verification code displayed by your provider instead. Arrival and completion have separate codes. After scanning or entering a code, review the booking details and confirm the relevant step yourself.
